"Another full hour" on The Point

Today at 2:23 PM on The Point 106.9 I heard "Here comes another full hour of the best of the 80s and more." At 2:48 PM they played a commercial.

They've used that liner for a long time. Misleading, IMHO, but I guess they don't claim "continuous", "uninterrupted", "back-to-back", etc.

Hey, they said, "the best of the 80's and more". The commercials of the 80's were one of the best things about the 80's! Oh wait. I see what you mean... they're playing current commercials, not the ones from the 80's... well, that's completely different. Nevermind.

Uh-oh. It's never good when you mislead your one listener.

It is evident to me that the phrase "the best of the 80s and more" was written by a lawyer. "More" includes commercials, promos, or any other thing that it not necessarily "music".
;)

I asked an imaginary lawyer what "Another full hour" could mean.
She said that a reasonable person could reasonably assume the station would be on the air for at least one more full hour.
She added that the phrase "Here comes" prior to "Another full hour" could also indicate that the full hour was forthcoming but not contained or started within the current 60 minute clock hour.
I offered that the sweep could be just a randomly inserted computer audio file that really had no meaning and was purchased with a bundle of other meaningless rattle.
She opened her mouth but I could only hear a Mr. Plow song in the background.

Yep, I know one too. Good man, good family.
Ironically, he works in the very same industry to which this forum is related. Which begs to question who will eventually pick up the ball on local music airplay. KTBZ does it but in the usual remote only fashion.
I'd hoped KIOL would have done that but their major criteron is that most of the band members have to had passed away from old age to be qualified for rotation.
