windycityradio said:Zakk's show is sorely missed in Chicago. He was #1 in his target demographic on the afternoon drive which is not easy in the #3 Chicago market. He achieved these ratings without a lot of promotion from his former station which only focused marketing on the morning show. He does a great job interacting with his audience. It was the kind of show that made me go out of my way to listen. Atlanta is lucky to get him.
Thanks Zakk
Seriously though, I'm sure Zakk is a good guy but why did the "Loop" choose not to renew his contract if he was #1 in his demo? They were actually thinking about replacing him with Danny Bona-****** - so money couldn't have been an issue with Emmis.
Should be interesting to see if CBS Atlanta makes Zakk team up with a partner. I HATE this new trend by stations. "Lets match up 2 people that have never worked together and call it a show!"
