After a number of application modifications KJSA Mineral Wells received a construction permit to increase from 250 watts to 20,000 and move from 1120 to 1110. It's still going to be a daytimer, but somehow they were able to engineer it so they won't have to reduce their power (down to 2,000 watts) during critical hours, something that will make a big difference. As predicted, their city-grade coverage will include a sizable chunk of the Dallas-Fort Worth area: www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KJSA&service=AM&status=C&hours=D
Despite what that map shows, measured ground conductivity indicates a sizable "notch" in the major lobe pointing toward downtown Dallas, but it's still going to be a pretty impressive signal.
