Another hot track

Global Deejays - Flashdance. Not a big fan of tracks that just play the hook but this is a great track. Their track Sounds of San Francisco is hot too. Heard that at Nikki Beach in Miami during WMC, the place went wild.

I like this track. I liked it a lot when I heard it back in March, but now, it doesn't do much for me now. I played it at a party on Saturday, and the place went wild! I'm still wondering if that is really Irene Cara's vocals they sampled, or did they re-create them with a new vocalist.
______________

I think it's a real sample. It has the typical distortion/aftifacts that some looped house songs have when they strech a song to fit. This one's okay, but nothing that would make my top 10.
______________

I had heard rumors that Irene Cara would not grant clearance for the sample. Again, it's just a rumor.

I attempted to do a remix of "Flashdance...What A Feeling" that uses the Global Deejays beats for it, but the original of the Irene song has problems with the bpm that doesn't let it stay on beat with the rhythm track. Even in Acid Pro I couldn't fix it.
______________

Here is an email from the Promotion company that is working the record. It is indeed her voice on the track:)

GLOBAL DEEJAYS "WHAT A FEELING"
(SUPERSTAR/IMPORT/GERMANY)
Within ten days of PRO MOTIONal service this German import secures significant specialty spins as the Irene Cara vocals and Euro filtered influences brings to mind a much simpler (retro) time that's all the rage some twenty years later!
NOTE: #4* Billboard dance chart Breakout

If there's one thing Acid doesn't deal with well is when a track varries in BPM too much. Sometimes you have to readjust every few beats or so. I might attempt to do the same thing.
______________

If you do a search on Google, or Limewire, you will find several djs, and artists have remade the song over the years. There are even remixes with Irene Cara listed as the artist, none of which is as good as the Global Deejays Version though.
