Another KCAL/KCBS Casualty

I am hearing helicopter reporter and pilot Larry Welk has been let go from KCBS/KCAL. The websites for both stations no longer list his bio.

If high-speed pursuits were ever a sport, Larry Welk would be the award winning play-by-play announcer.

Mr. Welk has expanded his pursuit reporting talents for voiceovers on "World's Scariest Pursuits" type programs over the years.

High-speed pursuits aside, Mr. Welk has shown he is versed in covering other stories from the sky.

Surely he'll show up somewhere soon... we hope.

I just saw Steve Hartman on Sunday's KTLA News at 6:00.
Another one jumped from KCBS/KCAL into the open waiting arms at channel 5.
