another mckay visit

Do you think it would be a good idea for Sean McKay to return to the airwaves for a few days this summer. I hear that he's afraid to fly but he seemed to do okay last time from what he said on the air.

Another on -air visit would be great...I just hope he gives away some free Arby's meals this time !

I don't know who "2 many hats is" but I've run into guys like him at my fry wagon. No matter how much I "supersize" their order, they always want more and take a hundred ketchup packets. My [profit margin is small as it is and I have to pay for all the ketchup packets and it adds up..most of them are never used and end up being wasted. Same thing for napkins. You know, in Europe you don't get all these free condiments or whatever you call them.

Another visit with Sean McKay? Just what the Dr ordered! This time I'm visiting the station for a personilzed, hand signed, real Sean McKay radio d.j. poster. I'll bring my sister Agnes. She is a B-I-G fan. She'll stand toe to toe with you. She is so tall she'll lick the top of your head.

In the meantime where's Altoona's ratings? Hmmmm?

Because there is only one Arbitron subscriber in the market, the ratings are embargoed by Arbitron. They're only released to the subscriber and whatever agencies by them. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Those ratings are avilable via the internet but there is a password and code that must be entered. I have both the password and code because of a friendship I made with a former ARB employee down in Maryland. I was in Maryland for a church festival/carnival several years ago with my wagon. Unfortunately, he made me promise never to give it out to anyone and I promised that I wouldn't. I was able to look at the ratings and there were a couple of surprises but that is all that I can say.

No rocket scientist needed for that Hampster.

But why are the ratings embargoed? Can't Nevermore afford the ratings?
That, Hampster, is the question.

I don't believe they've purchased them for anyof their markets since last year...as many companies, especially small and mid-sized have done, due to the inaccuracy of the diary system. Tons of companies nationwide have decided that, for the price that Arbitron charges, it's just not worth it.

Not so. Tons of companies have not cancelled Arb ratings. Take a look at some of the reports on Arbitron. Revenues are up, subscribers about the same.

No Hampster, Nevermore is one of a few small regional broadcasters that have dropped the service. They also didn't pay taxes on a tower property and lost that.

Hey babe, when's Sean gettin' here. My sister can't wait.

I recently worked the Clearfield fair and ran into some friends of McKay's from the Fallen Timber-Coalport area and it's my understanding that he may be back next week.

I just got the word from "the man with two many damned hats" who posts on this site. McKoy or McKay or whatever he's calling himself these days will definately be in town next week. He's hoping that Dave Barger will take him to dinner at Rizzo's in Windber this time. What a freeloader, huh!

My sister and I will be at the station next week to say hello. Down at the Radio Camp. I think that's what they call it. Maybe Mr Barker can take us to dinner too. Mr Frymaster do you have Seans phone number?

I have his phone number but it's unlisted and besides, he'll be on the plane the better part of the day tomorrow. I think the guy's name is Barber, not Barker.

I think he goes by Mr Bargain. His old business card had a motto : "Not just jargon, it's always a bargain." But I doubt he would buy lunch.

Thanks for the memories, Sean!
Our office listened to you all last week. People from other deparments popped in to listen. You are one of the best morning show hosts ever in Blair County. No blue humor. It's time for you to visit permanently.

yeah, the local radio legend is something isn't he. I'll be seeing him this fall in Bedford where I'll have my fry wagon parked for the great Bedford Fair. I heard him almost every day that he was on. I didn't agree with all his damned Democratic/liberal/communist/left wing views but perhaps he was only trying to counter Barter's idea of shutting down the airport and making bike trails against the law. Who knows?

Hey Sean McKay

You and Mr Barner need to make up your mind! Are you coming back to do mornings on WRTA or not. Cause if you do, DeeAndray wants to retire.

McKay in the morning, in the morning, in the morning on W _ _ _ .
Fill in the blanks. I hope Mr. Bourbon at WRTA sees fit to bring
McKay on board before he gets kicked to the Kirb(y). I don't
know if Carol O'Leary, Logan or whoever she is could handle having
genuine talent under her employ.
