Another mouse that roared

Sort of....

A little before 5am this morning, KNUJ (New Ulm, MN) was blasting in here 40 miles northwest of Chicago on 860. Last time I heard KNUJ during hours of darkness was when I was staying the the Holiday Inn right up the street from their stick about 8 years ago. 5 watts? Methinks not. Likely they "forgot" to power down last night. But there they were. Clobbering CJBC complete with their Polka Party ads!

Made me want to crack open a Cold Spring lager....even at that hour!

Daytime power for KNUJ is 1kw. And given the good ground conductivity in the area, they do have a massive daytime signal Pretty much the entire southern third of Minnesota and north central and northwest Iowa
