Even further down, at the other end of the state, in Palm Springs, the ABC affiliate, KESQ (Channel 42, Cable 3--is branded by the latter) controls the Fox (KDFX-LP 33--AKA Fox 11, an obvious play on L.A.'s KTTV), Telemundo (K15EI), and cable-only WB ("KCWB" 5, probably another play on KTLA) stations in the area. Palm Springs just got their own CBS station (KPSP 58, now on 38) just about five years ago, it was previously a religious/informerical station. The only other full-power station in the area is NBC's KMIR (Channel 36, Cable 6), owned by Milwaukee's Journal Broadcasting.
