I can't believe this thread actually came back to life after eight and a half years! Anyway, "What's My Line"'s John Daly also used to say "on another network, which is NBC..." In a related area, when I was a kid, the local Top 40 outlet had a bit where they would say that they wish a Merry Christmas to(At this point, they would quickly name every other station in town, followed by)"and all of our other listeners too".

“Another Network” (on Radio)?

In 1928, CBS radio bought New York station WABC which wound up on 880.
In 1946, WABC changed its calls to WCBS (newsradio).

In 1945, New York radio station WJZ became an ABC station on 770.
In 1953, New York ABC radio station WJZ changed its calls to WABC (musicradio).

Does anyone have recordings of the earlier WABC announcers promoting CBS programs on WABC?
