Another new KZLA App

Yet another filing last week for a change in the CP for 98.3, Riverdale. Looks like the CP expires at the end of this month. Will there be more extensions?? Probably
 
The "owners' are short on cash - and the CP was ment to be sold off for the cash to fund other projects elsewhere. However, no one is willing to pay the asking price for a stand-alone FM CP that is not yet built. The owners of the "former tower" - Crown Castle - wanted alot of cash for the site rent each month and the owners of KZLA where not interested in paying in gold or silver. The new application gives KZLA some more time to find a cash buyer.
 
OH BOY. This could even get better. The holder of KZLA - FM is also one of the two applicants for a new 1470 AM channel at Huron or Coalinga. I bet no one files for the channel in the auction - to be held early next year. The 1470 at Huron was only a "back fill" application to allow the relocation of the 98.3. I liked the 98.3 better when I put the frequency into Huron years ago. LOL LOL.
