Another new LP DTV station

Daystar has now launched their programming on digital channel 46.1. While listed in the FCC database and in the transport stream as KDTP-LD, the station is a digital companion of KDPH-LP 48, which was called KDTP-CA at the time the construction permit was sought. At this time, it is only video, no audio, but that should change as Daystar perfects the broadcast. Daystar also owns a CP for digital channel 9.1, which also has the call sign of KDTP-LD.

This means that any hope I had of picking up Tucson's KUVE-DT on channel 46 is dashed.

Don't count on it. Daystar's Nashville analog station has been broadcasting a slate "NO SIGNAL" for at least **two years**.

(the satellite dish isn't working...)

Daystar's been good about trying to get their digital signals working properly, so I wouldn't rule it out.

Found the station last night. There was both audio and video, but the video was a bit distorted and had "hum-bars." Not as poor as the video on KPHE-LD 44.1, but not the best either.

If K38IZ-D and its subchannels could improve their video over time, so can anyone else.
