Another New Show for The Fan

Okay so this means in about a year and a half they've gone through Ben and Skin, Pete Stein and Mike Rodriguez, K Scott and Greg Hill, Sean "Wanna see a picture of my baby" Salisbury, Barsky and Henson, and Dan O'Malley...

Considering that the Jagger Mafia has been there all along, how unstable/turnover prone is the rest of that place?

I wonder how long till someone in authority realizes it's not the people, the problem is the product. They're just not that good. At anything. If I want straight sports there's an option at 103.3. And if I want sports and guy-talk schtick, the "professionals" at that are at 1310.

So they've got the Cowboys. Big deal. The ratings this year are proof that having the Cowboys doesn't float the rest of the week off the rocks and shoals of crappy ratings...

Speaking of Dan O'Malley... until a few minutes ago I did not realize that he has a regular gig on The Fan from 10p - 1a Monday - Friday. http://www.1053thefan.com/pages/6544762.php

IN that release, it says the guy coming in has been at his current market for quiiiiite awhile. 7 years at one station....2 at his current slot. Larger markets don't always= better gigs

Frankly I don't know how the Fan continues to have listeners with such a huge turnover rate. I've never been a big fan of Barsky & Greg. Barsky's ok but Greg gets on my nerves sometimes.
 
the Ticket is already running ads talking about how the Fan is bringing in another west coast guy. The Fan is a freakin' joke...

According to Richie Whitt's blog he's taking over the afternoon slot. So does that mean B & G will mail it in this last week knowing they'll been gone by Monday?
 
I wonder if Jagger is "shopping" his show. If The Fan remains a (sorta) sports station, I'll be shocked if his contract is renewed. I'm sure he sees the writing on the wall.

I get that neither is well regarded. But as much as I dislike Pelosi's politics, that's one tough broad who gets the job done.

Bigby getting the job done? Not so much.
 
rumor is... Barsky & Jagger mornings, Gavin and Gregg afternoons. Not sure on Jasmine. Dean and Mondo are gone.

It's true. After reading this I turned on The Fan about 5:45 and B&G announced that today was their last show. Monday morning it is Barskey, Jagger & Jasmine mornings. I can't believe Jagger would do that to Mondo & Dean to stay on a station that is on life support. :'(
 
no rumor... from Jagger's Facebook page: You may have heard that Barsky is joining me starting on Monday. I'm sad to say that today was Mondo and Dean's last day. There are never easy answers when changes like this occur. I know Mondo and Dean will be missed by many. Thank you for your support in the past and I hope you'll help see me through this transition as well. Please show Mondo and Dean some love on their FB pages, I will miss them both!
