Another New Wikipedia article: WEGO - Concord

Folks,

I have written an article on this station. If you're familiar with the station, check it out and let me know of anything I don't have correct.

I listened to WEGO from waaaay back, and I think I remember most of the things about it correctly.

My 1000th post! ;D

I don't know the years, but sometime after WABZ in Albemarle switched to Southern Gospel, WEGO was simulcasting them. They did ABC Pure Gold for a while, and at one point ABC Classic Rock, whatever that was called. They tried Spanish part-time but it didn't work. Then they returned to oldies. Technically, what they're doing now isn't considered oldies, but those of us who are sick of the changes in Timeless Classics won't call it standards. and the satellite format is known as Timeless Favorites.

Also, when I was in high school, WCGC in Belmont and WEGO were among the first stations to take a chance on Big Band/Nostalgia when that format made a comeback.
