Another news director opening

KTVK/KASW/KMSB lost their news director Friday:

"Sandy Breland is the new vice president/general manager at Raycom’s WAFB Baton Rouge, shifting from KTVK, where she was executive news director. She’s a Louisiana native who used to be executive news director at WWL New Orleans." Broadcasting & Cable 6/20/08

Belo brought her in from WWL post-Katrina to try and undo the damage done by Scott Diener. She arrived in August 2006, so she goes back to Louisiana with less than two years in Phoenix.

I wonder what really made her want to go: returning to Louisiana, advancing to a VP/GM job or getting out of KTVK?

BTW, has KPHO found their next news director yet?

I'm sure Doug Bannard and Mark Casey enjoy watching the revolving doors at their competition.

Since I don't know/never talked to Ms. Breland and not sure why, but what about All of the Above?
