ABC Radio continues to disappoint its long time loyal listeners by ousting long time morning host Tim Kase being replaced by Steve Gunn. If I were Scott Reese and Bud Bushart ,I would be a little nervous at this point. These guys in my opionion are the best and were perfect with the old "Stardust Format" but now with the format overhaul, they just dont flow with the new sound. ABC ruined a great format by trying to attract younger listeners, which will never happen on a largely AM format. The new sound in my opionion is "week" and could be modified so much better. I hear the same old over played songs that play on other oldie and lite formats. Thier memory format crashed and burned not that long ago and sounds like they are merging or whats left of it into Timeless.
 
Sorry to hear about this. Kase was not my favorite, but this change exemplifies the overall change in the programming format, which no longer is truly a nostalgia or standards mix. Leans much more toward traditional AC oldies, imo. Dial Global and MOYL carry the true standards baton now.
 
My barber has what someone here on this site said was ABC oldies (and it's not that different from what Timeless Classics was). I don't get why they even bother to have two oldies formats when the truth is they have three.
