Another one bites the dust

I learned with some sadness over the weekend of the passing of Bill Massey a couple of weeks back. He was retired from ABC, an old line Cap Cities and Harris field service guy.

Massey was one for the books. I worked with him,(I'm still there) at WKHX Kicks 101.5, WYAY 106.7 and AM-590 in Atlanta. I remember he gave me a tour of AM-590 transmitter site and I was amazed at how well Bill kept the site. Very clean and neat inside the transmitter building.

Did Bill show you his collection of fishing tackle?
There is a lake next to the 590 site....Bill used to fish that lake all the time. There is(at least, was) a file cabinet full of fishing tackle.....everything you could imagine!
I always liked engineering stations that had lakes on the property.....Bill said it was the best part of the job!
