Another One Bites The Dust...

As of the past week or two, KVIN 920 has switched to Punjabi music, so with that goes one of only two AM oldies stations receivable in the SF Bay Area without extreme efforts, and among the very few stations on AM or FM near SF playing anything that old.

Hopefully KYNO can hang on....

I logged into the ScratchMoney SDR tonight to listen to KVOL 1330, and I've discovered that it seems to be off air. All I'm getting is WINX, with some other stuff mixed in (including another oldies station, as I heard the Beach Boys' Fun, Fun, Fun fading in and out behind WINX).

I am hearing a low hum, that almost sounds like an electrical problem at the transmitter.

Hopefully this is temporary, as I rather liked that station, not only the format (MeˇV FM), but also because it was remarkably well-processed and clean sounding for an AM station (about the only thing missing is AM Stereo, which would make it sound absolutely spectacular). I wish I could receive something like it over the air here in SF (instead we get classic rock and EDM, neither of which I find terribly appealing).
