Another Possible Pirate in N.O.

I found this one two weeks ago while going to a friends house. At first I thought it was an Ipod with a micro-FM transmitter, however most don't go further than 30 feet.( I.E CCrane fm transmitter). The station is on 87.9 and the format was or sounds like a Piano solo, movie sound track, some sort of Middle East/Hindu music and Poetry reading. The Signal is far weaker than the pirate found on the Westbank. It's coverage area covers from Gentilly Ave. to the north, Claiborne To the south, Elysian Fields to the west, and Probally to the Railroad tracks or The Industrial Canal to the East( I did not go to the lower 9 to check if the signal was stronger. I could be wrong but I don't think it is a Part 15 station.

What kind of coverage area are we talking about? I'm not from N.O.

Hard to say maybe 2-3 miles total. You might want to use google maps to see the area I am talking about. I don't think it is a part 15 station because of the frequency being used. Delgado's Dolphin radio is a Part 15 (I am using as a reference) on 1610am went about two to three blocks, and 96.3 fm would only cover the campus. This station is using part of the analogue channel 6 frequency, but it is much weaker than the last one that was on the air on 87.9.
