The story in City Business goes on to discuss how locally owned TV stations generally aired five minutes more news per station than corporately owned and that three and a half of those minutes were local news. This study was done (and hidden) in 1998.
We've known for a very long time that live, local radio goes down the tubes when corporate ownership takes over. A hearing will be held in LA in October to discuss this matter. Wonder if anything will change? Read the full story here....
