Another reason why the Howie Barte show should be pulled!

WHJJ has been running a promo for The Howie Barte show. Howie Barte quote,
" Rep. Foley having sex with children, he's a Pedophile!"
In fact, (which he had the facts), No Foley is not a Pedophile. Pedophiles has sex with kids, children,
under 12. In R.I. age of consent is 16, thats right 16. As in most states. Foley may well be a filty oldman
going after young men, but thats it. In R.I. we have a Mayor who is Gay, who was dating a 17 year old 4 years ago. This young man worked on that Mayors campaign, would Howie call him a Pedophile?
WHJJ really needs to give Barte his walking papers. WHJJ is probably open to a Law Suit.
 
The show stinks.

The whole station stinks outside of Helen and Savage.

The fact that Clear Channel consistently sinks hundreds of thousands of dollars every year into an AM station that gets a steady .9 rating is an embarassment. No signal after dark, no ratings and a huge staff.

I can't believe no one has figured out that they should just shut it off.
 
Howie Barte is god awful. Barte got that gig at WHJJ because he's buddies with Arlene and her loud mouth brother Bud Violet.
It's embarrassing how Arlene calls the shots at that station when she's a complete ratings failure.
WHJJ is the most bizarre radio station I've ever seen.
They reward bad radio!
Anyone hear Doug McGonnagle (?sp) on the air with Dan Yorke yesterday?
I guess Doug (who now works on the Matt Allen show) used to work for Arlene Violet and basically said the only people who survive at WHJJ are Violet's sycophants.
That was no surprise to any of us but it was amusing to hear someone in the business actually say it.
 
RadioHead, Linda Diaz is someone I respect. She doesn't speak bad of anyone. Arlene had her fired.
For no reason, I mean no reason. Nothing is going to change until Jim Corwin is removed from HJJ. Corwin
has 2 pets Arlene and Charles. Between the 2 of them, anyone can see why HJJ is still screwed.
If there is a way to get the attention of the Higher ups, Bill George would make a fine G.M. and for P.D.

Don't think Clear Channel cares whether these stations succeed or fail. That's why WHJJ continues to rot.
 
Clear Channel should just shut it down. Run 24/7 ESPN Radio or Fox News or something and just have the sales dept. sell sell sell it. No overhead and anything you make is gravy.
 
Perhaps Linda rejected certain "advances" without even knowing it and got popped for it?
Given Arlene Violet's obnoxious and rude on-air behavior where she routinely talks over or shouts down the guests on her show I'm guessing she's no dream to work for.
Arlene is an angry person and that comes through on-air.

thank god for helen and her crew! i hear jeremy is still there but yeah no linda, john buckley's been long gone and no more keri. that place is falling apart.
 
The age of consent in Washington is 16. Unless he had sex with a page under that age, he would be a pedofile. I think he is. But, facts have to be presented. This is the perspective he is coming from. I heard his show. Now, we do have another real Pedofile, that Cardinal Murphy in California shipped to Ireland. Then, then wonder why Catholics are running away.

OH, when is Phred's going to close. For years, listening to the moron who does that commercial. Is that person not embarrassed. Also, Imus pushing persons who contribute to his ranch. I swear he digs them out of the grave like Jerry Lee Lewis, oh, no it is Lewis's wives who are buried.

Savage is the Saving Grace at the station. Imus died 12 years ago. That's a prop they use now. lol. I remember how HOT that station was back in the 80's. With the right ideas and right management they can turn the place around. Getting rid of Air America was a Gigantic leap in the right direction. Getting Savage was another step in the right direction. So I definitely see Promise. At least they appear to be on the right track.
