Another Rhythmic addition: WDYL/Richmond

It looks like you won't get your wish.

But then again they do sound like a "AMP" with a Rhythmic feel. BTW I like what they are playing.

I've only streamed them a little so far, and they sound pretty good. But, I'm surprised they are labeled as Rhythmic CHR. To me, they sound more like a mainstream CHR with a rhythmic lean (like KIIS, KMVQ, etc.). Also, the positioning statement is "Richmond's new #1 Hit Music Station". So I would consider them mainstream CHR. (But that's ok, because I prefer the rhythmic leaning mainstreams over the pure hip hop type rhythmics, which I've always considered "urban" and not CHR anyway).

I'm glad rhythmic CHR is moving back to what it began as in the late 80s (a true mix of rhythmic pop, dance, and hip hop.) That's what I consider rhythmic CHR's to be. IMO, the stations that morphed into all hip hop/R&B, with urban focused airstaffs (like WQHT, WPGC, etc.) are not really "rhythmic CHR", but urban instead. I never understood how these types of stations reported as "rhythmic CHR", when their playlists and airstaff was exactly the same as the urban stations. Anyway, glad the musical cycle is swinging back in the rhythmic dance and pop direction.

Yea, sounds more Pop than pure Rhythmic. Cox changed 95.5 The Beat's positioner here from "Atlanta's New #1 Hit Music Staion" to "Atlanta's New #1 for Hip-Hop" years ago. This station will be "NEW" just like all the other Cox stations for a good 10 years or so :D

You can't quite compare the new Hot 100.9 to Movin 99.7 San Francisco or 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles. Maybe 97.1 Amp Radio, which these days isn't playing any Pop/Rock whatsoever.
Movin 99.7 had no problem jumping on Train's "Hey Soul Sister" a couple of months back, and is also giving airplay to Lady Antebellum. Additionally, they're playing La Roux, LMFAO, Christina Aguilera

KIIS-FM is still playing Orianthi quite a bit, Adam Lambert, recurrents from the likes of No Doubt and Linkin Park, as well as all the above mentioned Movin 99.7 titles.

They must have tweaked since starting I looked over the last 6 hours of play there was only 1 song that didn't seen to fit and it was Jason Mraz Im yours. the rest seemed perfect for rhy.

They play quite a bit of throwbacks too.

I wouldn't worry about WHTI (the former WDYL) playing Jason Mraz. "I'm Yours" did chart at Rhythmic too.
