Sad but true I guess. Its hard to run a Hip Hop station, and still follow the CanCon rules. I think The Beat was a much needed Hip Hop station for Kitchner, I have family in the area. Hopefully THE BEAT will pick up on some Dance Music soon, like Wild 101 has done. They could have probably added more Canadian Dance music, and reggae and still stayed as a Rhythmic, But C,mon, how much quality Canadian Dance music is out there? not much. I guess this is the final Nail in the Coffin for Canadian Rhythmics, it would be hard pressed to assume anyone will attempt this format in Canada again. CanCon just killed it. The closest Canada will ever have to a rhythmic again, will be a Z-1035 type station, and hopefully THE FLOW can keep flowing, but they are Urban, not Rhythmic? (RIGHT)????
