Another Shakeup at Cox Radio/Atlanta

Corporate manager Marc Morgan will basically assume the role formerly held by Chris Wegmann in charge of all 5 stations. Dan Kearney, GM of WSB-AM, will become Market Manager-Sales and be over all 5 stations. Tony Kidd, GM of WALR and WBTS, will be Market Manager-Programming over all 5 stations. David Meszaros, GM of WSB-FM and WSRV, will be leaving.

I understand both Jordan Graye and Kate McCarthy have applied for the Market Manager-Disc Jockeys position.

We love Kate!!!

Based on seniority, Jordan certainly has the advantage for the job. On the other hand, Kate is thought well-enough of to be in afternoon drive. So your guess is as good as mine.

In any case, this will do nothing to stem the feud between those two.

Just for a moment - please - cut the sophomoric BS and acknowledge that one of the best radio people in Atlanta
just got canned. David contributed years helping to build the Cox dynasty in this market - he's one of the good guys.
The Brain Drain on the radio industry continues.

You are correct, Uriah. Sorry for the silliness. David is a really good guy and one of the best. The same can be said about Chris Wegmann, great guy who really understands the radio business.
