Another Source For Cassettes

I got my package of kingdom tapes on Turs. I recorded some stuff off the radio on one of the tapes and they have the sound quality of a TDK D90 min tape. I don't think it is as good as Sony HF or Maxell UR. I am going to buy the next grade up next time.

Man, I'm in the wrong business! Kind of makes me wish I'd held onto more tapes for a "rainy day"...

Re: Check this one out then!

I buy tapes on ebay for my church's cassette ministry. I am amazed at the price that is paid for new or used cassettes on ebay. Well above the retail price plus sales tax. I don't know why anyone pays some of the prices that are charged (and won!) on ebay for cassettes.

I like to pay $15. or less for 100 sixty minute duplicator cassettes. That includes shipping.

I've bought tapes from National Audio and I would never do so again. They were horribly warbly and distorted the audio badly. (To their credit, they did attempt to make things good, but they were airchecks I recorded on a trip, so no-go.) I've bought other products from them that I've been totally satisfied with, but I'd never buy tapes from them again.

I use them mostly for spoken word. Church sermons.

That's why I don't bid on anything on E-Bay(or "U-Pay") anymore.

Re: Check this one out then!

That does not mean that I can sometimes find bargains, but I have to look.

I pay around thirteen to sixteen cents a piece for cassettes on ebay in lots of one hundred. That includes shipping. I don't go higher than sixteen and try to stay at around fifteen cents.

It helps to keep an inventory. Right now, I have more than two hundred blank tapes, but I am starting to look for more.

Doesn't matter what was recorded on these tapes (there were talk stations, also)...the quality was still horrible. YMMV, I guess. =)
