And nothing really changes. A-Z again? Really? And why, just why, are the Coast people still on the air? Adbuyer1, I'm disappointed in you.
 
That Mother-Daughter lookalike contest is a real hoot! It's all the talk at hair salons from South Portland to Scarborough!

I've learned that everyone looks alike after about 12 PBRs!

Surprised that WBLM isn't doing their "dueling A to Z" to try to belittle Frank's version, which has actually been going for a while.

Underminer - There's only so much I can do but I don't think the Titantic can be saved at this point. I believe their earlier promotion to send in your prom picture from 1995 or later to win $500 or so drew a whopping two entries. Actually it did. This is not a good omen.
Maybe they'll bring back the Maine Money Page! Well, maybe not. That didn't work too well either.
 
Actually Adbuyer1, if you think Coast is in trouble, I have all the confidence in the world that things are just fine there. It's not like your track record has been very good lately. Actually, I know it hasn't.

How is your life in the unemployment line, anyway?
 
Unfortunately Underminer, my tract record was dead on. Please refer back to some dialogue between me an Mr. Igo. The discussion centered around WYNZ playing Christmas music. I stated that it was a huge mistake and that their P1's would go elswhere. Mr. Igo disagreed. The ratings of WYNZ plummeted.

Coast is in serious trouble. The station has horrible TSA ratings and there is apparent discussion of Arbitron revising their market definition policies and redefining the Portland Metro as early as Fall 2010. Whether it's the Fall or next year, when it happens and it definitely will, Coast is Toast and Saga will have a station not even ranked in tht top ten in Adult demos.

The good news is Saga won't be subscribing to the ratings so they won't have to worry about seeing them. They just get to hear about them.
 
adbuyer - just a note that yes, the WYNZ numbers were pretty dismal. but on the upside, that we beat the Q in their teen demos says something... that something is that the fall book was pretty bizarre, all the way around. just sayin'

Where do you see that? Mon-Fri, 6a-7p, WJBQ has more than twice the ratings of the second place station (WPOR) and more than four times WYNZ in the 12-17 demo.

At night, they pull a Michael Jordan/Lebron James share number. YNZ, less than third of their share. WYNZ also has 27% of the total weekly cume of WJBQ.

It would be funny if WYNZ was beating the Q (and therefore a bizarre book), but I can't find anywhere that WYNZ comes within 500 miles of beating WJBQ in teens.
