ENOUGH ALREADY!

What's this, a daily "banishment update?"
I got it already. The show is being pre-empted, but probably not all because it is inappropriate (although they may claim that) but because IT SUCKS!

However, it is interesting to note that the show was not banished here in Lubbock TX, the heart of the bible belt, yet NexStar owns the ABC and CBS affiliate here.
The local NBC owned by Liberty (Raycom) decided to let the viewers decide.

Ironic, huh?

It should be noted, however, that this is the first station in a MAJOR market to pre-empt the program.

By the way, anyone know what WSMV is airing in lieu of "Daniel"?
______________

~I just wanted to say in the open that I didn't have any hard feelings toward anybody on the last one and didn't even think it was arguing as much as discussion. I was surprised it was closed.
______________

Try watching the whole show. not just seconds at a time in between channel flipping. A certain tv ad that ran durring that time REALLY SUCKED!
______________

I didn't have any major feelings toward anyone either, though your point about 'denigrating God' hardly seemed appropos for the discussion at hand--the 'Off The Air' board would have probably been a better place to discuss that angle.
______________

Here is a funny note: WTWO in Terre Haute is airing "700 Club" instead of "Daniel". "700 Club" is far more controversal and extreme than "Daniel"!
"700 Club" is so extreme I would'nt let small children watch it.

I'm sorry but 20 minutes of that clinker is about all I could stand. Why, what TV ad ran? Did it involve a Gecko?

Apparently, neither would Time Warner Cable, which has excluded the ABC Family channel from its new "family friendly" tier because of 700 Club being on it.

Is that the best that WTWO can do? Maybe they should back into their vaults and dust off those "Petticoat Junction" reruns they used to air in the afternoons back in the day.

Much Ado About Nothing...

When they are walking on all fours it is hard to take anything they say serously.
At best The Book of Daniel is as satirical as Desparate Housewives and at its worst a boring and prosaic grade B production.
Not worth all the controversy unless you have a faith so weak it can be shaken by some fictional television program.

I wonder why KSL in Salt Lake hasn't dumped "Daniel"...remember they are LDS controlled and would frequently preempt CBS shows during its CBS days.
