Another streamer to add: KBPA-HD2/Austin, TX

Thats cool that Mega is back.. Im not a fan of HD,,, but with a powerful 100KW signal at 1300 feet it should be easily receivable in all of Austin and even touching on San Antonio.... I just dont see the point in Class As and even some Bs going HD.....

Okay,,, this station is awesome so far.... playing classics many other Dance stations have long forgot about....

CCCP-American Soviets........ Anyone even remember that..... Really ahead of its time...

Amand van Heldon-Phunk Phenominon.....

That Maddona song that goes... Im in a trance... And the world is spinning..Spinning baby out of control

But they are not ignoring new dance hits either,,, and the clocks and placement of Gold and Currents isnt all mucked up like most HD-2s..... I will admit,,, Im not a fan of HD... but if I lived in Austin or San antonio,,, or between the 2, I would get an HD radio for the car... too bad its not HD-1 Analog...

The title of the Madonna song is “Impressive Instant”.

Energy 92.7/101.1 used to play it as well, but I never figured out which version. I’m guessing Mega played the same version – if you (or anyone else) hears it on the station, could you make a note of it and post it here?

I listened to this station last night and I was impressed. It's my favorite HD dance station so far. And if I lived in the market, I would invest in an HD radio for my car.

I like that they claim to be "100% local" on the Web site. Maybe some of the songs were hits on the original Mega 93.3/99.7 (or, going back further, the old B-93?)

I agree, this is definatly a really good formatted dance station. I honestly think that if Mega 93.3 back in the day actually got their format similar to what this is now, that station would have done much better. They did'nt know what they were really doing then and when Emmis bought out LBJS (the former Company that owned Mega), they went ahead and fliped it since it was already pretty much transitioning away from Dance. I think Emmis hired some people that know the dance format or at least have some good consulting.

…and this is ironic because Emmis seemed to pioneer the trend of Rhythmic CHRs moving away from dance in favor of hip-hop, starting with the changes at Hot 97 NYC and Power 106 LA in the early 90’s.

I've been listening for a while this morning and I REALLY like this station.
