Just what we need, right?
But I have to ask, why DOESN'T Cox promote this superb hidden gem? Do they NOT want people to listen? And do they NOT want advertisers?
I say this because if you spend a few minutes on Cox' Corporate page and look at all their radio properties, you notice that they don't even make mention of their HD2 on 98.5 at all- in other markets, like Miami they actually list their HD2 as a separate station and obviously are looking to increase their spot load.

To be fair, they don't promote The River's Edge on 97.1 HD2 either, but at least it is streamed online (and it's quite a great station BTW). Same for Kiss 104.1's HD subchannels.
Does Cox have other plans for HD Radio in Atlanta, which you would think, being this is their "home base" and a big player in HD Radio deployment, they would PROUDLY proclaim their commitment to HD Radio.
Why are they downplaying HD Radio in their home market? With more and more HD receivers showing up in dashboards, I would think they would be touting their flagship home market as an HD flagship as well. They have some standout and unique programming with WSB-HD2, but don't seem to want anyone to know (including potential advertisers).
I wonder what would happen if someone called sales and asked about a rate card on their HD2's what the answer would even be?
