Sounds like they they're going for a Rhythmic AC direction, since they're also playing currents.

I've just started streaming this station a couple days ago, and I am totally hooked. It's not Top 40 though, even though they do sprinkle in a few current CHR hits. It's primarily a Rhythmic AC station with a slogan that says, "The hits are back!" Right now they have very very few commercials and one amazing song after another. I'm addicted to it actually.

I posted something about this on both the Rhythmic AC and '80s/'90s Variety Hits boards.
