Another Top 40 in LA?

This question just popped up in my head with seeing Smooth Jazz WVMV in Detroit flip to Top 40 and reading Ross on Radio's latest article on Top 40, but do you think you would be able to see another Mainstream CHR/Top 40 station survive in Los Angeles? Back in the '80's, of course there was big head-to-head Top 40 battles, but do you think there could be a big three way Top 40 battle between KIIS, AMP and a new contender? Let's say a station like KXOL or KLOS decides to make the flip to Top 40, would it be able to survive? How would Power 106 be affected? Any thoughts?
