another tower location question

There is a group of four towers located off Douglas Avenue in North Providence...literally sitting on the border between Providence and North Providence. The towers live in what seems to be some kind of marsh area. What station do these towers belong to? Thanks.

Some, if not all, were once 1290, WICE. Dunno the call letters
of the public station occupying 1290 now or whether they moved.
A link off another post (WBRU related) mentions "the biggest man
in New England Radio", Sherman Alan Strickhauser and recalls his
days at WJAR (920) but overlooks the many years he and many other
notables were at WICE when the studio was at #10 Dorrance Street.
Sherm, Jim Mendes, a few others and myself used to enjoy some
outrageous gatherings at the old Schwarz Wald Haus in Seekonk.
Wish those days could come back around once or twice!

1290 is now WRNI, and it still transmits from the site in question. The towers were rebuilt (and moved around a bit) when WBUR took over. Power went up from 5 to 10 kw at the time, too.

Hey Les, are we having dinner again this year? :)<P ID="signature">______________

This year, for the first time in about 25 years, I'm giving NAB a miss.
So, no, won't be there. Two good reasons: Station I volunteer-consult to
is spending all the money on tower work this year (if we can ever get the
tower company to firmly commit to June). Also, one week from Saturday is
moving day. We're outta California and back to Alaska. Maybe when we
get settled you might be able to come visit and we can see about getting
some station/tower site tours. On the brighter side, Ric and Kelly will
be there...and I know how much the latter means to you!!!!
