Another Two Gone From Cumulus-Nashville

Aaron Roberts, PD of WRQQ out due to budgetary cuts.
Market Manager Mark Kanak also out the door.

How many MM's does that make for Clueless Nashville in the last 2 years. Anybody got a body count?

Cumulus blasted a Market Manager? Say it ain't so.

What I find almost incredulous is the (apparently) new company policy that any Market Manager who doesn't hit sales goals will have his/her salary reduced by 5%.

I wonder if any similar practices will be imposed on Cumulus corporate people...Like John Dickey. That MIGHT make it a bit easier to swallow...but then, the dark cloud only wants you to swallow the Kool-Aid.

I firmly believe that some day, these guys will have to answer to a higher power for their "treatment" of some of God's children.

It WOULD be fitting...don't you think?

This should be moved to the Nashville board, but I will chime in...Crumulass is the absolute biggest waste of air on the planet. RQQ sounded great for three weeks. Now, it's diluted and bad. As always, these m-o-r-o-n con-sultants ruin a good thing in the middle of a hike in ratings and revenue. How many billions has this company not made because of erratic, knee-jerk bad decisions? They will continue to ruin the Nashville cluster. And yes, trash people,
with any brains. How many times has this exact thing happened now? Ten times? Insanity to think they will survive and increase revenues in a down
economy. Oh, and while you brilliant Crumulus clones want to read this and yell back at me...wanna a copy of that incredible letter to potential
businesses about advertising that some sales person sent out by using a 20 year old copy machine?

106.7 - Rob Thomas - need I say more? TotT
97.1 - now full of overplayed bad music. Was great while it lasted. Good luck Mac. Stations toast. TotT
99.7 - furlough local and live more and sleeze down to a 2.5 share. Michael Delgiorno is on track to be a national superstar, so you will
screw him over...as a cost cutting measure...that'll cost you millions. (Not basing this comment on Delgiorno's content...)
92.1 - lucky, but revenues ain't there.
95.5 - canned nite shift, vt, etc. boring. Sebastian just got dumped. Bring him back and let him call it John FM...

No...I never worked at Crumulus. But, I have known several great people that were victimized there and it's not right. Mad? Yes. More
sad...this is not the right way to build a company. There is not strong leadership in this company.

TotT = turn off the transmitter

Every once in awhile, I'll tune into the Wilmington, NC AC station run by Cumulus, WGNI, usually for their 80's weekends, which obviously has no DJ's, not even VT'ed, talking up songs. During commercial breaks on the stream, they will play a spot encouraging listeners to join the Cumulus sales department, and the ad has a jingle, "♫ Cumulus - the power of radio! ♫" This is why I laugh when I hear that ad.

Oh yeah! Even their website makes me laugh to read, "...owner and operator of high quality FM and AM radio stations...
We strive to create the next generation radio broadcasting enterprise, based on great people and technological excellence, that will provide high quality, local programming choices for our listeners... challenging career environments for our employees; and wealth generation opportunities for our shareholders."

The only truth in that creed is "challenging career environments for our employees". It's a challenge to keep a job with them!
