I just report it as I see it..
Jason Konarz's Petition for Reconsideration to eliminate or severely reduce his $20,000 Notice Of Apparently Libaility Fine was DENIED!
The Petition was filed about 3 months ago and denied On Friday. Around the same time, an STA was filed.. presumably to Remain on the air until the license renewal issue has been handled.
Why wasn't it reduced? According to the FCC Update, he provided documents to them trying to substantiate his claim of inability to pay but they weren't the proper/sufficent documents such as Tax returns and bank statements. Just "cash flow" reports.
I'm pretty sure that WQMA's license will NOT be renewed until the fine has been paid. I'm also pretty darn sure he doesn't have the money either!
I've got enough equity in two AM Construction Permits I own. I wonder if he'd sell it to me? Oh wait, no.. he just ignores any offers to be helped. I seriously hold no ill-will against this man and sincerely just want to help as I do not wish to ever see any license go dark, especially in a town like Marks that needs it.
