Another WROC/WUHF employee leaving.....surprise surprise....

Be critical of her as an anchor/reporter all you want. But to be critical of her as a human being is just ignorant. Most of you have never met her, and if you did meet her you would have a lot of respect for her---especially when you find out why she is leaving. Enough said.

Did I miss something? Do you mean something other than just wanting to leave the biz?

No, you haven't missed a thing -- because no one has said EXACTLY why she is leaving. There was one mention tnat she wanted to leave on her own which, in this business, means she wanted to leave because they weren't going to renew her contract on her terms. If things were goiing in her favor, wouldn't she stay?

No, I have no information on her contract details or anything like that.

Come on , some one, 'fess up! So, what is this noble reason that is driving Lia Lando out the door at 201 Humboldt St.? And don't say "why don't you ask her". This is a MESSAGE board. Provide the MESSAGE.

OK, I guess I'll say it if no one else will....... It is her private business not yours. Just wish her well and be done with it.

Maybe it's because an anonymous message board isn't the right place to share someone's personal business?

Spare me the righteous indignation. Lia Lando is a pretty face with marginal journalistic skills. If she indeed has an acting job, let's hope that her acting skills exceed her journalistic capabilities.

Lando isn’t the only one on TV or radio today lacking journalist expertise. Stations are not interested in a person’s ability, only how good they appear in front of the camera. As far as I’m concerned local news in Rochester has sunk to new depths. If its not a vacant house fire, homicide, or car accident, most of the news on TV today comes out of the morning newspaper and runs all day into the next.
