Offhand, the only AM site that I can recall in Marietta is 1230, a single tower off 19/41. 1080 is licensed to Marietta, but the transmitter is in Kennesaw; they have 2 towers. 590 is in Powder Springs (4 towers); 1160 is in Austell (5 towers); 1550 is in Powder Springs (4 towers) and 1600 is in Austell (1 tower).
I'm not sure what you're seeing, but I doubt it's an AM array. You might want to check out http://www.fybush.com and then click on "Site of the Week Archives." There's a bunch of Atlanta stuff there.

Slight Correction on the location of 1230 WFOM: It's actually in the back end of an apartment complex off of Franklin Rd. The Dickey brothers must have moved that transmitter because it used to be on the same stick as 1160 WCFO. There is a Palmer Dr. in Marietta off of John Ward Rd. near the intersection at Cheatham Hill Rd., but no antenna farm near there. The closest thing to that area is a high voltage line crossing with a power sub-station behind some trees.
