Antenna TV (KTLA 5.2) added to Time Warner Cable

Yep, TWC just added KTLA's Antenna TV network to its L.A./O.C. systems on channel 139 (QAM tuners, channel 76.8) effective April 5th. I usually check TWC's website every now and then to find new information for channel changes and/or additions, and it kinda caught me by surprise, because when I wrote an e-mail to KTLA's programming department asking if TWC had plans to add Antenna TV (and This TV), they said they were in negotiations and no date was set.

I am somewhat puzzled that This TV still hasn't been added to TWC's SoCal lineup, especially since you and I would that This would come in a package deal (so to speak) with KTLA 5.1 and Antenna TV. Personally, there isn't a whole hell of a lot on This TV I would watch outside of an occassional movie, but I know that there's some (including on this board) that would like to see it added to their cable system. I've been watching Antenna TV (via the "rabbit ears") almost daily, and a lot of the shows there (including some I haven't seen since I was a kid, like Gidget and Too Close for Comfort) are enjoyable to watch.

Meanwhile, TWC plans on dropping the standard def of version of ABC's Live Well Network on May 5th; the original HD version will stay put. That could concieveably clear space for TWC to add This TV (should TWC finally decide to carry it) or MeTV (soon-to-be on KDOC 56.3) in the near future.

Lucky you guys!...I've been wanting Antenna TV for a while now and Charter Cable says they have no plans to add it. However, we have This TV, but I would prefer Antenna TV. And too bad I don't have OTA reception so for now, there's now way for me to get Antenna TV. I wouldn't think it would be a big deal for Charter to add something like the digital subchannels....

My cable systen in Northern California, Comcast, added Antenna TV (KTXL 40.2) last February, about a month after it signed on the air. Comcast also has ThisTV, since its inception.

Charter in Pasadena just added it over the past week Channel 317. I never got a chance to watch Maude so I can finally see what the show is about. I guess Married With Children is off the line up but KDOC airs in at 11pm since KTTV and KCOP stop airing it in 2010. Funny thing Dennis The Menance and Fathers Know Best airs on KTLA Saturday and Sunday mornings at 4am.

Looks like Charter added it here in the San Gabriel Valley as well. However, I can't see the channel when using a cable box. It's on 317, but I get a black screen. If I connect using a QAM tuner, then I can see the channel. I called Charter about this, they said they don't know anything about Antenna TV being added. Typical Charter....

I know Charter is a shitty cable company and it cost too much. Im stuck with them since our apartment doesnt allow Dishes on their patio. When I first saw it on Ch 317 the picture kept going on and off. Last time I watched it was Monday night and it was working fine.

Same thing with me in Northern California. My apartment won't allow dishes on patio OR the roof. Just Comcast Cable TV.
