Antenna TV, promo music question

WTIC DT-2 stopped running a test pattern and started running promos (I dunno, maybe this is what the network has been feeding them all along?) and on the one where every show has someone mentioning "Let's watch the TV' or "I'm turning on the TV" (Al Bundy speifically states that in the promo I'm thinking of), the Jazz music playing in the background sounds an awful lot like the opening theme to the Anime "Cowboy Bebop" ("Tank") but it seems to have variations in it. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this track is, I ask as when I first heard the Cowboy Bebop theme, it triggered in my memory as something I've heard before, but not quite, and I want to see if this background music they used as a bed is the reason.
 
wish I could tell ya, but the Antenna TV affiliate here isn't sending audio, but I have seen the promo your talking about.
