ANTENNA TV'S NEW SCHEDULE (MANY CHANGES)

For those who get Antenna TV here is their NEW schedule, the first major revision since
the debut in January. "We ain't gonna be no Retro TV (RTV)" should be their new motto!
No 4 year same schedules at Antenna TV.

I can only think all those movies are a stab at Weigel's THIS TV. The loss of the 1AM movie
may be a nod to the west coast stations seeking more retro shows (at 10PM Pacific).

Too many movies. Too many hours of garbage like The Stooges and Benny Hill.

I've never been a Stooges fan, and Benny Hill wore thin on me, but I tuned in recently, and I understand why these blocks are most likely to have a following. It ain't necessarily my cup of tea, but damned if I didn't wind up laughing out loud at Curly's clam soup routine...and Hill wasn't exclusively "chasing/being chased by scantily clad women", either.

With hours-long blocks of each, I'd say they're making a statement - let 'em make it. (I'm kinda happy to see Soap, personally.)

can anyone tell me if and when here in Boston on wmfp they will finally get rid of rtv, and get antenna tv??? i ask because it went from 24hrs to 11hours!! and its the same boring lineup even some of the shows i want to watch are now gone like Kate and ally, iron side, and leave it to beaver!!!

if you are trying to get your young male demographics up, then the Stooges and Benny Hill
is probably the best thing you can schedule short of MMA and NFL Football.

What do you consider "young"? I'm in the 18-35 demo and both Stooges and Benny Hill were on well before my time. I actually had never even heard of the Benny Hill show until Antenna started showing it. It's the shows from the mid 70's to the late 80's they should be focusing on.

I like Benny Hill. It's the kind of show where you can take a phone call or get
something to eat and you haven't missed much. You can get right back into it.

Wikipedia says there are 58 episodes (1969-86, 1988-89).

I've always liked the Stooges, but I could never get into Benny Hill. If anything, they could curtail those marathons...maybe two hours of each program on Fridays and Saturdays, so they can put fit in another show or two.

I actually like Hazel, too bad the moved it to overnights. I didn't even recognize Ann Jillian when she was on it the last year, when it moved to CBS

I'm a little bummed they moved Sanford & Son so late, I think that show was perfect right before All In The Family,
Plus S & S came on right after S & S went off on TV Land :)

I wouldn't mind the movies if they were strictly the classic old movies from 1930's-60's. Kind of like the old "Movies Till Dawn" of yesteryear. I like the Stooges but not Benny Hill. I also like the fact that they have Burns & Allen and Circus Boy.

And there is a channel for those shows, it's called Nick @ Nite and TV Land is heading that way too.
