Anti hissing public service announcement

Tom you should get a portable radio and put it up to the mic at appropriate times to illustrate the whoosh. My AM car radio stopped on the IBOC noise on 590 today from WTAG 580 set on seek

What a great idea Tom! This is something I never thought of, running a PSA to inform the listeners what HD radio
REALLY is.

I am going to let the owner of my station listen to this, and suggest that we put something like this together, which
would go a step further and include the phone numbers of the station's that are causing harm to our signals, and a
number to the FCC, to lodge a complaint.

Thank you for the idea Tom!

I'd love to hear any other PSAs spawned by this, and I'm sorry it took me so long to get this done.
I had the idea back in the spring, but I work every day of the week and have little time to collect my thoughts or accomplish anything
"on the side". I look forward to hearing other presentations.

I was trying to create something that any station could drop between other elements, just before a stop break.

And three cheers for digital recording and editing, which permitted this spot to happen in 1 hour with no script and 1 take.
I'm truly not anti-digital, just opposed to foolish and clueless application of technology.
