Any Ads/Spots Collectors?

I'm wondering if I'm the only person in the world that does this, but I mine airchecks for ads/spots and then I separate out each of these ads as an individual mp3 file. At this point, I would guess I have about a thousand of them, mostly from the late 70s.

Just wanted to see if anyone else did that - and if anyone does, for sure, please contact me to trade!

Interesting niche. Are these local, regional or national spots? And from what markets? I have personal airchecks on audio cassettes of KWTX (1230 AM, Waco, Texas) from the late '70s, which contain many local sponsors, as well as national ads from the Mutual network. Wish I could find a spot for Goldstein-Migel (a defunct Waco department store). They had a terrific jingle.

All of the above. I've pretty much just taken whatever spots I find in whatever airchecks I can find for the time period and extract the spots. I program them (as well as jingles) into my ipod playlist with the idea of making sound like listening to a radio (and thus try to find spots from the time-period for which I'm trying to emulate - mostly the late 70s/early 80s).
