Are there any cable systems out there that already have an all-HD, or mostly HD lineup (except for maybe local channels and networks not broadcasting in HD).
I'm not aware of any around here, but I would not be surprised if Comcast or another larger cable system starts heading that direction soon. I may go on a limb and predict that by 2020 there will be at least one cable system operated by one of the larger companies that will have an all-HD lineup--all SD channels discontinued or put on Stretch-o-Vision. (Or perhaps everything above the "basic cable" package only available as HD). If that happens I predict it will be Comcast that makes that move in one of their markets.
Anyone know of all-HD cable lineups out there, with no (or very limited) SD offerings? And what are the prospects of any cable systems going all-HD in parts of the country?
