Any chance of creating a separate board for these Retro schedules?

No offense, but they are useless to me. I understand how people can find them interesting but they seem to clutter up this particular board. I know to just not click on them--and I don't click on them--but they're littering the entire landscape! (Some people think that my posts are littering the landscape too. Ha ha. To each his/her own!)

Just a thought.

It was actually the "Retro" schedules that gave Radio-Info the idea to start the classic TV board. The Retro schedules have slowed down considerably from when they were first introduced..I doubt the administrators would want to have another board for just schedules when it has worked well the way it is. Plus I think it takes more bandwidth to add a board if I am not mistaken

Last statement first. It does create a bigger demand on our database when more boards are added. And a site like Radio-Info is almost entirely database driven (which is why the site runs slower during heavy access periods; too many people accessing the database simultaneously). Not bandwidth, but you had the right idea, Tim.

And, as the person who requested this board be created in the first place (and ended up its moderator), Classic TV was created primarily as a place for the retro schedules to be posted. Prior to its creation, the national television board was getting those threads and the volume of them was making it impossible to find the threads on current television.

That is the reason why those of us who post retro schedules (and I do manage to post one occasionally) always create a thread header that makes it obvious both for those who are looking for the schedules and for those, like the original poster, who is not. We got in that habit when we shared space with the national TV board, and it still serves the purpose.

I don't think of them as "litter" and I'm rather sorry the original poster used that descriptor.

I agree!!!!!!!!
I always thought that the classic tv board was the place to remember old tv. But I have also offten thought that it my be a good idea to start a sub board, if that's possible, for those of us who are intrested in tv as it was over it's first fifty years. I like the retro schedules and I wouldn't want them to go EVER!!!!!! Keep on keeping on Mike >

Well, I didn't actually call them litter. I used the phrase "littering the landscape," which I suppose is open to interpretation. I did say that I understand why people like them.

I actually thought my suggestion was good for two reasons: The Classic TV board seems to have taken on a life of its own, aside from the retro schedules...so it would clear up some clutter. And it would add some importance to the retro schedules that so many of you apparently love so much: They'd have their own board!
