Any chance of this happening?

Nic and Paul mornings at BCN. I think that would be a pretty funny and cool local morning show. I would tune in. Probably won't happen, but I thought I would throw it out there.

Letters BCN and NIK appearing my soup.

Yeah, I keep seeing the letters BCN and NIK appearing together in my soup bowl too.

I'm was thinking Mason and McKalinski from ZLX would move over but after hearing today's DLR audio b_____b on BCN I don't that's going to happen immediately. DLR will fail to keep even half of Stern's audience, and when he's removed then Infinity will move K&M to BCN depending on how they're doing, and likely blow up ZLX.

Any guesses at how WAAF's xmitter move will effect Infinity's Boston Rockers? Could Infinity be so shortsighted to destroy one of the two for Free FM?

Re: Letters BCN and NIK appearing my soup.

I actually think there's a good chance that the formats and airstaffs of WZLX-100.7 and WBCN-104.1 will be consolidated on a hybrid classic/modern rock station at 104.1 under the call letters WBCN, with 100.7 becoming "Free FM".

But were that to happen, Karlson and McKenzie probably would be the morning show at 'BCN. But who can tell??

I don't think it's resulted in a signficant enough signal improvement to have much effect over what it was before.

Joe you have no basis for this other than your own desire to hear yourself talk. That will not happen, BCn will be bcn and David Lee ROth will do mornings, it's a done deal, there is no speculation, it is going to happen. What part of this are you missing?. Karlson and McKenzie arent really ready for bcn either way, it'll be DLR end of story.

I'm not buying it. I'm not very faithful in DLR to begin with. When he was hosting on ZLX that week over the summer, I lost interest around Wednesday sometime. Unless his syndicated show is somehow going to be breathtaking, I wouldn't count on DLR being on WBCN for very long.

WBCN has Paul Marshall now as well. Get him with a good sidekick and have him host mornings. It's live and local.

WBCN and WZLX won't be consolidating anytime soon. WZLX just spent the last few months making a big to-do about their 20th anniversary, and despite a dip in the ratings, is still the classic rock powerhouse of Boston, and they bill really well from what I hear. WBCN has heritage, which may influence Infinity to keep the plug plugged in. If anyone's losing here, it's WAAF. I wouldn't be surprised if Entercom blew up WAAF and made it 107.3 WEEI. When WAAF added Bon Jovi to the playlist this past year, I knew it was going to spell disaster.

WCBS-FM?

I work engineering part time there on weekends. I would say no chance.
