Any changes for the New Year?

I know this has probably been discussed, but do any of you that really know radio think that some station's will flip?

Thanks ;)

I think WRAS or WREK will be flipping to GPB. :D

It won't affect Q-100

Has Cumulus ever considered simulcasting Q-100 Atlanta on Q-100 in Pensacola, Florida? I don't think Cumulus has any DJ's left in Pensacola.

You never know...

A lot of people have been fed up with WABB for a while (check out some of the heat they take on the Alabama board); might make for some interesting competition.

The Bull will be sacked and flip to The New Peach 94.9 and become the Atlanta's place for soft hits (say it fast).

That could happen only if the current attempt to relaunch The Bull doesn't work. And we won't know that for a while. The morning show hasn't even arrived yet.

I hear that new CC market manager Melissa Forrest is very programming oriented. A former PD in Dallas told me that when Forrest was in a radio-related business and called on him, she would make programming suggestions including songs to play. I've heard she is all over The Bull right now.

Right.

The last guy thought he could fix programming too. Now they're stuck with Project 96.1, The Bull, and a handful of stations that can't break the top ten 12+ in ratings. Meanwhile, Mark Chase is hosting bad movies on WGN TV.

I wish her luck.......

Since they have no marketing money, the best move would be to return 94.9 to Peach and get all those fat bottom Atlanta girls listening again.

Jeeze, is this still in the works? I saw discussions of this dating back to summer '06 and thought it was dead! These stations aren't just for the kiddies. I'm 54, live in the DC area, and go online to pick WREK up. (Unfortunately no WRAS online, but I'm familiar with it from being in Atlanta a few times.) Hope this idea dies dead dead dead soon!
