if 95.7 wants to change....might want to consider bringing back top 40/kiss format or oldies.
99.7 KFRC should look at changing too....might want to bring back the oldies format, but expand the playlist to include stuff from 1957 to 1979. Many oldies stations in the country are moving away from the 50's and there was some good tunes released back then.

The problem is that anyone who grew up in that timeframe is out of any desired sales demos. Someone who was 15 in 1957 is 64 today. I'm not sure how many agencies are buying demos higher than age 54 -- 25-54 and/or 35-54.
In my opinion, it comes down to a listener's "impressionable years" - What years of music had the biggest impact on their life, and therefore is their core listening? Probably why most 60s and 70s is left out of music logs these days - The majority of those listeners are outside of the money making sales demos.
Just my thoughts - Maybe someone with more experience in SF (or major market) sales wants to chime in.
