Any clues to whereabouts of Bob Hamilton and/or Buzz Bennett?

I'll start this here on the Arkansas board since we got the idea while I was hanging out in Jonesboro today with Dennis Rogers...also, because one of the MIA is from Hog Heaven. Bob Hamilton left the ministry of a small church in the Fayetteville area in the early 1960s, did air work for awhile, then put together one of the earliest jock-oriented mailouts, "Bob Hamilton's BREAK." It grew into something pretty important in its day. Along the way, Bob and research- and tactics-guru par excellence Buzz Bennett hooked up. For several years in the 70s, their linked names were associated with a lot of excellent innovations or improvements for top-hits formats. But in recent questions about them to other guys from that era, nobody seems to have any idea. If you do, please share. Thanks.

Now are you talking Bob Hamilton of Bob Hamilton and Friends Radio Report? I worked for and then bought that magazine back in the 70's when he moved it to Memphis. A couple of years later I worked with buzz at WNOE-FM in New Orleans. He was working with the AM station along with Gary Phillips, E. Alvin Davis and Kevin Methany. Don't know where they are now but I can make a few phone calls.

Mitch Mc-freakin'-Cracken! Where ya been when we 70s/80s NOLa radio degenerates convened at Cap's World Famos Po-boys? (And where ya'at now?)

Yeah, that's the Bob Hamilton I'm wondering about, not to be confused with the same name, but coming from (I believe) Pa to L-A and PDing either KRTH or K100. (Yes, alphabet soup is my life; how'd ya guess?)

Someone on the La board said 'our' Bob is in Carmel, doing the "Radio Star" online thing. Haven't had time to check that out in depth, but a quick look-see didn't show any Buzz clues.

I talked with Bob Hamilton about four years ago when he was looking at buying one of my radio stations in Pennsylvania.

At that time, he was PDing a radio station in Miami, FL.

Was looking long and hard for his own place to call home and make daily bank deposits.

In the 80's I had several business's with Buzz in LA and then he got a gig in Dallas for awhile then came back to LA. I lost touch in early 90's. Haven't heard a word since and I moved to Northern California and been there ever since. His mother lived in Florida that my last direction to look and I talked to Bob Hamilton a couple times in Carmel but he hasn't heard a peep either.

Hope somebody finds his bottle with a message on a beach somewhere as he must be stuck on an island..........
