I am one who also chooses Orban, mainly because my ears don't enjoy Omnia sound. Orbans to me have a smoother more professional sound particularly on cold voice. The company I worked for last used Omnia's on all stations and I found them so much harder to achieve the sound I wanted. Not to say they couldn't do it. Infact if anything Omnia has a more flexible structure.
Orban's sound is more ingrained than Omnia and if you don't like it, tough. Like the bass-line, love it or hate it you can't change it.
I did also find the presets in the Omnias very bright O6 and 3fmt as opposed to presets in the 8300's and 8500's we use now. This of course can be tuned, but it's a matter of whether it sounds better or just different.
