Any familiar with Audio Now?

Anyone familiar with a company by the name of Audio Now? http://audionow.com/ All they apparently do is rebroadcast radio stations through their own dedicated phone #. Sort of a poor man's way to listen to radio on your cheap cell phone. Someone gave me a phone # to sample. Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, their college station is on it now. They have a story about it along with the dial in phone # on their website. http://kur.kutztown.edu/ I'd post the phone # here but I don't know if it's against policy to post phone #'s, even though this is just basically a radio station. But to play it safe, just go to http://kur.kutztown.edu/ and look at their headlines. Anyone know how much stations are paying for this? It seems interesting. Seems like a good way for small stations like this to get their station out.

We were set up on it from the beginning but that was during a free trial period which was never told to us or put in any contract. The service is ok. It sounds like a radio station if you were placed on hold at the doctors office. To be honest I think this service came a little too late. Why would you want to listen to a station over a phone when you can stream it and it will sound better.

I've thought about adding this as an alternative to the webcast for those out-of-broadcast-range listeners. We get the occasional call from a parent wanting to hear their kid in a given sports game and they can't get the webcast to work for some reason. AudioNow might be good for that.

I think it is one of the best ideas in radio I have seen in a long time. I tried it for ESPN that is one of their customers. It works great and even though I have an Iphone, the tuner apps that are available keep buffering and aren't as clear. I know more people that don't have data plans than do. This is a big idea and I have found that the simple things usually work best. Sort of reminds me of Polaroid cameras that are now being reborn because they work and are simpler than printing digital photos with ink and expensive paper.
