This is the thanks Linda Daiz gets?
I`m so done with Arlene Violet....
Daiz should go to a battered womans shelter.
Hey Arlene, Its a TALK SHOW, not the A.G.s office!

Since her contract is being renewed for 3 more years, and she's playing second fiddle to Dan Yorke (who's on 3-7pm over her 3-6pm) I would guess she'd want someone with at least five or ten years worth of talk radio experience over a fresh blood out of college who doesn't even have any prior talk radio experience. Maybe she'll steal someone away from Dan Yorke. I'd say Matt Allen would be the best choice but he's got his own show now in Steve Kass's old spot so whose left with the know-how she'd need in order to compete with Yorke?

but she had that with her own radio producer. i think she produced depetro's show too. anyway, WPro just let go of a producer so I bet they are heading over here.

Linda seems like a nice person, but not like a real producer. What Arlene needs is someone to give her some real direction, and clearly that's not what she's been getting. WHJJ relies too heavily on name recogntion, rather than building content. I haven't worked with talent for about 20 years, but when I did, it was my job to guide the program. Maybe times have changed. That doesn't seem to be happening.

Well ,I can tell you things have changed a great deal!
Linda may be the best of producers out there. Don`t sell her short.
Arlene directs the show! Believe me I`ve been there. She barks orders at everyone. Arlene comes in with HER topics. Producers can suggest, but Arlene does what SHE wants.
Every station today relies on 'name recognition' these days ,which is too bad.

What do you mean "a real producer"? How do you know what arlene's been getting over there?? we know you have the "kerry crush".. has she been letting you in on some goings on over there?

Nope, but anyone who's listening to the show can hear the problems. She talks about some pretty obscure topics and relies on repeat callers to carry the program. It's the same five people calling over and over again.

No one has been "letting me in" on things going on over there, but it sounds like I've hit a nerve.

And MissDJ it's getting pretty obvious who you are, so be careful!
