Any good software for airchecking multiple stations at once?

I'm thinking about getting a laptop, and it seems like a good time to give up the battle of trying to find decent portable cassette recorders and just go digital. I know there's plenty of radio tuner software out there, but does anyone know if any of them can record multiple stations at once? The more the better!

Jon,

Perhaps someone else knows if a multiple tuner FM card exists, but it's a function of the hardware, not radio tuner software. The software would control a piece of hardware that you attach. I'm almost certain that there are both PCMCIA and USB tuners on the market (I know that there are for TV reception) which would attach to your notebook. Then the software would control this.

Just wanted to make sure you understood this before you went out and spent $

Replay Radio Version 6.0 came out a few weeks ago. They have been making promises to me for a few months. Last week they promised an upgrade to 6.0 that will record MULTIPLE STREAMS by the end of this month. I will be looking but not surprised if I have to wait some more.

Replay Radio costs about $39. When I do get the multiple streams record software, I will be putting it to a lot of use.

Right...it'll record multiple online streams, but not multiple external sources, like radios. What I think Jon is looking for -- and I know I'm looking for -- is something that will record multiple radio stations. There are a few multi-source digital loggers that are built for stations, but most require multiple sound cards and are fairly spendy.

Wish I knew of something that would accomplish this, too...bringing a ton of radios on a trip is kind of a drag.

Oh? I never gave taking three radios a second thought.

Three? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA! You've never seen Brian's hotel room, clearly. I wish I had a picture to put in here.

(I think a new record for simultaneous airchecking may well be set next month, when we hit the road for a joint airchecking/tower-hunting expedition. Think 16 tape decks rolling at once, plus a couple of VCRs. And be afraid. Be very afraid.)
